About Dr. Parisa Refaat
Dr. Refaat DPT, CLT, is the owner of Belmont Shore Physical Therapy since 2007. Dr. Refaat received her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy form NOVA Southeastern University and her Master’s degree from Howard University. She is practicing more than ten years in different outpatient clinics with various patient populations at any ages. Dr. Refaat is specialized in Lymphedema management, Geriatrics and Pediatrics disorders.
Her mission as a health care provider and an owner has been to provide patients with individualized treatment in a pleasant and compassionate environment. Dr. Refaat is dedicated to creating that atmosphere through her supportive husband and the employment of staff that represents her commitment to the patient and their physicians. Her hobbies include hiking, cooking, yoga and gardening.
Dr. Refaat is an active member of American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), California chapter.
About Dr. Nicole Medina
Dr. Nicole Medina graduated from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA in 2014 receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She attended California State University, Long Beach where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology emphasis Exercise Science in 2009.
Her mission as a Physical Therapist is to educate her patients on their impairments/restrictions and to promote ways of self healing. Dr. Medina specializes in movement analysis, manual therapy and corrective exercise to address her patient’s needs. Along with the rehabilitative process, Dr. Medina is passionate about “pre-habilitation”, a process of maintaining one-self and seeking longevity by preventing injury and improving movement patterns.
Current certifications include: SelectIve Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) Certified.
General Interests: Olympic Weightlifting, exploring new ways in her mobility, reading and enjoying good food and good friends!
